Mrs. Edward S. Johnson

Mrs. Marie H. Johnson, 88, of Ligonier RD 2 (Darlington) died Sunday, March 13, 1994, in Edgewood Nursing Center, Youngstown.
She was born Feb. 22, 1906, in Unity Township, a daughter of the late George G. and Sarah (Marks) Harr.
She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Darlington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward S. Johnson, in 1984; an infant son, George E. Johnson; a daughter, Edith J. Hlavsa; eight brothers, Oliver, Milton, Earl, Russell, Evan, Emory, Elmer, and Raymond Harr, and six sisters, Minnie H. McCracken, Elizabeth H. Frye, Ethel H. Tait, Phoebe H. Johnson, Tessie H. Owens and Ophie Shirey.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Edna) Madak of Ligonier RD 2; two sons, Glenn E. Johnson of Pittsburgh and Elmer E. Johnson of Ligonier RD 2; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in J. Paul McCracken Funeral Home, Inc., 144 E. Main St., Ligonier, where the service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. A. Michael Boggs and the Rev. John L. Reiner officiating.
Interment will be in Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
