Several years ago a Cole descendant found in an old trunk some hand-written notes stating that David Cole married a Miss Williams. In Fairview Cemetery is the grave of "Mrs. Mary Underwood, wife of James Underwood and daughter of Col. David Cole and Sarah his wife." That's why I think that Sarah Cole, buried in the Heard Cemetery is Sarah Williams Cole. David Cole is buried in Fairview Cemetery, as is "Jane L. Cole, wife of Col. David Cole". David Cole's second wife was Jane Livingston.
