Robert4 Skolfield (Samuel3, Clement2, Thomas1) was born
13 December 1825 in Harpswell, Maine; his birth also registered in Brunswick, Maine. He married, first, Bethiah Skolfield, daughter of Clement Skolfield and Elizabeth Spear Given on 25 October 1855 in Brunswick, Maine. There
were no children of this marriage. He married, second, Lydia Ann Curtis daughter of Albert Curtis and Alice Dunning Skolfield, on 20 August 1862 in Brunswick, Maine. He died 28 June 1891 in Brunswick, Maine, and was buried in Pine Grove Cemetery in Brunswick, on Lot 35. Capt. Robert Skolfield was mate on the St. John under his brother Capt. Samuel Skolfield, Jr., in 1853, and took command of it in December 1853 when Capt. Samuel went to the A. B. Thompson. He was master of the Sam Dunning from January 1856 to August 1861 when Thomas Skolfield took over in September 1861. After leaving the sea he went into the shoe and leather business in Brunswick, but during his later years was without active occupation. He was a member of the Congregational Church. Robert and Lydia are buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, where their stone reads:

Bethiah Skolfield was born 17 February 1834 in Harpswell, Maine; died 11 October 1858 in
Harpswell Center, Maine, and was buried in Harpswell Center Cemetery.
She went to sea with her husband for a time but remained at her parents' home to have her child and
died in childbirth.
Lydia Ann Curtis was born 7 February 1842 in Harpswell, Maine; died 10 May 1923 in Walpole,
Massachusetts, and was buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, Brunswick.
The children of Robert4 Skolfield and Lydia Ann Curtis were:
i. Henry Boody5 Skolfield was born 31 August 1864 in Brunswick, Maine; married Nonnya Royster, daughter of Cornelius Royster and Anna Eliza Gates and the widow of William N. Roark, on 14 February 1912 in Tennessee.

ii. Alice Curtis Skolfield was born 14 April 1868; married Edward Toppan Little.

iii. Albert Curtis Skolfield was born 30 September 1869; died 31 August 1894 in Brunswick,Maine, and was buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, Brunswick, with his parents,

iv. Robert Skolfield, Jr. was born 22 March 1872; died 6 October 1872.

v. Ezra Byington Skolfield was born 17 September 1873; married Mabel Lauretta Chandler
