Ezra Byington-5 Skolfield (Robert-4, Samuel-3, Clement-2, Thomas-1) was born 17 September 1873 in Brunswick, Maine; married Mabel Lauretta Chandler, daughter of Fremont L.
Chandler and Lucy Mae Willett, on 6 June 1906 in Lynn, Massachusetts. His marriage is also registered in Brunswick. He graduated from Brunswick High School in 1895; attended Bowdoin College for two years and then entered the medical department from which he graduated in 1899. After graduation he held a position at the Maine State Hospital for one year, at the Soldier's Home at Togus, Maine, for four years, and at the Hospital for the Insane at Augusta for two years. In 1906 he moved to Charleston, Maine, where he engaged in the practice of his profession and was also health physician. In 1910 he was at Lisbon Fall, Maine, and later in East Corinth, Maine.
He was prominent in Masonic circles, a member of the Grange and belonged to the Maine and American Medical Associations. He died 12 June 1947 in East Corinth, Maine, and was buried in Corinthian Cemetery, East Corinth, Maine. His death also registered in Brunswick, Maine.
Mabel Lauretta Chandler was born 25 September 1881 in Manchester, New Hampshire.
