MRS. M. CORNETT, PIONEER, PASES AWAY
     Musetta Montgomery, daughter of the Frances and Sarah Elizabeth Montgomery, was born May 8, 1873, near Bethany, Missouri.
     When five years old she moved to Cornelius, Oregon where she lived with her family until she was married to Edward R. Cornett June 10, 1891. To this union four children were born: Bernice Smith, Eddith Leaton, Jessie Peeler, all of White Salmon, and the late Lieutenant Commander Francis Cornett, U.S.N.
     On the December 6, 1905 the Cornetts came to White Salmon which has been her home since.
     Her husband and son preceded her in death. She is survived by three daughters, one sister, Mrs. Drusilla Crance, Cornelius, Oregon, seven grandchildren, two nieces, and two nephews.
     She is a member of the Christian Church, a charter member of White Salmon Chapter Number 107 Order of Eastern Star, past president of American Legion Auxiliary, member of the Goodwill Rebecca Lodge Number 163, Mt. View Grange 98, Past Matron's Club, Past Grand's Club, Ladies Auxiliary of Patriarch Militant Number seventeen.
     She passed away on June 21st.
