Jacob Zuck, 96, of Middletown, PA, passed away on July 31st, 2009, at Community General Osteopathic Hospital.

Jake was born on June 5th, 1913 to Lewis and Ida Zacks.

He was the caretaker of the Historic B'nai Jacob Synagogue, and, along with his sister, Lena, helped place the Synagogue on the National Register of Historic Places.

Jake worked at the Olmsted Air Force base and later, ran a store out of his home in Middletown.

Jake was also an avid gardener.

Jake was preceded in death by two brothers, Taft and Paul (Petz), two sisters, Sarah and Lena, and long-time companion, Mary Cosmark.

He is survived by a great-niece, Karen Robine, great-nephew, Keith Robine, and Mary's great-niece, Mary Bula.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Sunday, August 2nd, at Chisuk Emuna Cemetery Chapel, 10 N 34th St, Harrisburg, PA. Rabbi Ron Muroff will be officiating.

Burial will be in the Kesher Israel Cemetery.

Arrangements by Hetrick Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut Street, Harrisburg.
