Mrs. Ethel Holland, 85, of Hayti, died there Feb. 20, 1994. Born Sept. 15, 1908 in Vina, Ala., she was the daughter of Dr. William and Emma Mills Powell. She was a housewife. She is survived by her husband, Vee Holland of Hayti; A son and daughter-in-law, Wade and Wanda Holland of Hayti; Thirteen grandchildren,...Eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Special friends included Shirley Russom and Latrisha Petty.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Wayne Holland; granddaughter, Amanda; three brothers; and three sisters.
Services were Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. at John W. German Funeral Home chapel in Hayti, Bob Carden and Marvin Walters officiating with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
