Christine James Townsend, 85, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Helen Keller Hospital.

She was a Native of Alabama; and a Seamstress at Blue Bell for more than 20 years.
She was a Member of Burnout Missionary Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Burnout Missionary Baptist Church in Vina, AL with Bro. Dan Hindman and Bro. Brent Townsend Officiating.
Burial will be in Burnout Cemetery.
Deaton Funeral Home of Red Bay, AL is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are two Sons, Richard Earl Townsend andWife, Deborah; and Tommy Lee Townsend and Wife, Charlotte; all of Vina, AL; Daughter In Law, Karen Townsend of Phil Campbell, AL; six Grandchildren, Bradley Earl Townsend, Brent Tyler Townsend, Blake Caleb Townsend, Crystal LeeAnn Townsend, Kevin Lee Townsend and Claudia LaShay Townsend; three Sisters, Marvelene Coats, Martha Jean Oliver and Barbara Collum, all of Vina; and one Brother, Johnnie Houston James of Vina.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Everett Townsend; two Sons, Harold Townsend and Jeff Townsend; and her Parents, Johnnie James and Claudie Shewbart James.

Pallbearers will be Donald Gober, Danny Shewbart, Terry James, Jerry James, Ronald Coats and Phillip Hughes.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Deaton Funeral Home in Red Bay.
The Body will Lie In Repose from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Burnout Missionary Baptist Church.
