Lena Agnes Federwisch, 99, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Friedens U.C.C. Church in Riesel. Burial will follow at the Friedens Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Littlepage Funeral Home.

Lena Agnes was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, to the late Carl Herman and Ada Landrum Kunze. She spent most of her life in the Otto-Riesel area. On May 4, 1925, she married Paul Federwisch. Lena helped her husband farm and worked in several Waco cafeterias. She was a longtime member of the Friedens U.C.C. Church. An excellent cook and seamstress, she loved to cook and sew for her family.

Her husband preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1989.

Her survivors include her daughter, Mildred Yett and husband, Kenneth, of Waco; son, Rev. Harold Federwisch and wife, Mary, of Riesel; granddaughters, Martha Curry and husband, Jerry, Patricia Shaw and husband, Marshall, Rose Mary Tanner and husband, Bob, Carolyn Potts and husband, Thomas and Roberta Mathis and husband, Kent; 11 great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Johanna Finstad, of Waco, Corine Howard, of Dayton, and Rachel Howell, of Hearne; and brother, Guss Kunze, of Beeville.
