Elizabeth was born in Mecklenburg County, Virginia, the daughter of David Edward Jiggetts and Mary Hinton Baskerville. She taught at the mission, Good Will, South Dakota, where her uncle, Rev. George Sumner Baskerville was superintendent. June 20, 1898, she was married to John Chalmers Ross. For eighteen years with him, she served the Mexican students at Menaul.


Age 42, wife of the supt. of the Menaul School. Her husband and sister, Alice Baskerville, were with her when she died.
