Centerville - Lonnie L. Boren, 87, passed away Friday, April 8, 2005. He was born June 9, 1917, in Whiterocks, Utah to Alma LeRoy Boren and Thelma Potter Boren.

He was married to Vera May Peterson on August 14, 1939 in Manila, Utah. There marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married for 66 years. They lived in Centerville for the past 33 years of there life.

Dad worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 43 years. He loved fishing, hunting, and camping with his family. He was a member of the L.D.S. church and served in numerous positions.

He is survived by his wife Vera and there sons Kenneth (Judy) Dean (Terry) Jerry (Margaret), 10 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren, sister Esther (Don) Larsen, brother Farren Boren and Carol.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Argie, two sons Lonnie and Larry.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at 11 AM at the Centerville 9th Ward Building, 1475 North 50 East Centerville, Utah. Friends and family may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah. Graveside Services will be at the Manila Cemetery Thursday, at 11 AM.
