BOUNTIFUL - Vera May Boren, 87, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2007. She was born December 24, 1919 in Hayden, Utah, to George Austin Peterson and Agnes Sessions.

She was married to Lonnie L. Boren on August 14, 1937, in Provo, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were married 66 years. They lived in Centerville, Utah for 33 years.

Mom was a mother and homemaker. Later in life she worked as a cook in the school lunch program. She loved genealogy and quilting. She loved being with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many positions. Her favorite thing was helping others.

She is survived by her three sons, Kenneth (Judy), Dean (Terry) and Jerry (Margaret); ten grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, one sister and two sons. She had two brothers and six sisters.

We would like to thank Vista Care Hospice of South Ogden, especially Tonya, Nicole and Jerri, and also North Canyon Care Center for their excellent care of Mom.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2007, at the Centerville 9th Ward Chapel, 1475 North 50 East. Friends and family may call Sunday evening, April 22, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Monday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street.
