Oscar Peik, 49, farmer residing a mile and half south of Potter, Calumet County, ended his life Wednesday by discharging a shot gun in his face. The act was committed in the rear of the barn.
Funeral services were held this morning at Chilton, with burial in the New Holstein cemetery.
Mrs. Peik was born Feb. 10, 1898, and attended school in the town of Chilton. On April 11, 1928, he married Miss Viola Anna Hansen at Chilton. A farmer, the deceased was affiliated with the Brotherhood at Potter and the Evangelical Reformed church there.
He is survived by his wife, the former Viola Anna Hansen, Three daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Luzinda) Bowe of Brillion and Laverne and Erna at home, son, Lawrence at home; sister, Mrs. Viola Hein of Milwaukee, and three brothers, William and Hugo of Milwaukee and Arno of Chilton.
