CHESAPEAKE - Anniebelle Poyner Williams, 96, formerly of Holly Avenue, went to be with the Lord Aug. 5, 2009. A native of Portsmouth, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Thomas Poyner Sr. and Annie Liverman Poyner and the wife of the late Curtis Leonard Williams Jr. She retired after 37 years as a dietitian with Rena B. Wright Elementary and Truitt Jr. High schools and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of South Norfolk and the Pythian Sisters. Surviving are two daughters, Sharon Perry and her husband, Donald and Donna Pittman and her husband Frank, all of Chesapeake; five grandchildren, Curtis Perry, Frank Pittman Jr. and his wife Crystal, Kim Beamon and her husband Donnie, Craig Pittman and his wife Kim and Kelley Hohorst and her husband Kurt; seven great-grandchildren, Ryan, Michael, Heather, Brandon, Christopher, Sara and Austin; one great-great-grandchild, Madison; and a special niece, Barbara Parsons. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl Poyner and Katie Curtis; and two brothers, Cecil Poyner and Tommy Poyner. Funeral held Saturday in Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, with the Rev. Ernest Trueblood and the Rev. David Slayton officiating; burial in Riverside Memorial Park. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Herbert Brewer and his fine staff and her special caregiver, Hazel Kemp, for the wonderful care they provided.
