John W. Holzer died Monday, November 29, 1982 at Memorial Hospital, Cleburne.

Holzer had been a resident the past four years. He was born April 8, 1914 in Wichita Falls, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Holzer. He married June 28, 1967 to Dorothy Cryer Howard of Cleburne.

He was a retired oil field driller's helper and a Navy veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife; a stepson, Johnny Howard of Cleburne; two step-daughters, Mrs. Betty Bullard of Granbury, and Mrs. Wanda Braudaway of Cleburne; two brothers, Joe Holzer of San Antonio and Albert Holzer of Wichita Falls, five sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Annie) Vandruff of Wichita Falls, Mrs. Agnes Carter of Odessa, Mrs. Rose Cartmell of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Bertha Bonham of Hemet, Calif., Mrs. Ralph (Mae) Cochrum of Columbus; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
