Howard Edwards , 89, of Lakeshore Road, Cicero, died Saturday at Hallmark Nursing Home, Minoa.
Born in Cicero, Mr. Edwards retired in 1969 as a maintenance worker at Prestolite Corp. in Syracuse after 33 years of service. He was a member of the United Auto Workers.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; a son, Frederick of Cicero; a daughter, Louise Gilkey of Cicero; three brothers, Frank of Syracuse, Lewis of Florida and Kenneth of New Haven; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Williams Funeral Home, the Rev. Stephen Deckard officiating. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery, North Syracuse.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 8261 S. Main St., Cicero.
