She was a native of Rockingham County but has lived in Delaware for many years.
Besides her husband, Charles F. Fifer, she is survived by six children; Mrs. J. M. Bennett (Fleta), Fred Fifer, and Harvey Fifer, all of Wyoming, Del., Dr. Jesse Fifer, of Baltimore, Md., Dr. Carson Fifer, of Alexandria, and Mrs. Galen Wampler (Virginia) of Singers Glen; and by twenty grandchildren.
Also, the following sisters survive: Mrs. Joseph Pence, Port Republic, Mrs. I. S. Long, Baltimore, Md., Mrs. John C. Myers, Broadway, Mrs. Ira Cline, Staunton, and Mrs. O. H. Bowman, Grottoes; and one brother, Edwin W. Showalter, Mt. Crawford.
