She was always cheerful and loving, but with a feisty touch. She loved her family, lunches with her sisters, the cabin, golfing, hot fudge sundaes, The Atlanta Braves, St. George, her daughters, the grandkids and most of all Sherm. She was renown for her Sunday dinners, but most of all for her hot rolls and raspberry jam.
She is survived by her Sherm; daughters, Shirley (DeWayne) Jackson, Salt Lake City, Dianne (Dan) Donley, Las Vegas; five wonderful grandchildren, Julie (Matt) Horrocks, Scott (Ann) Jackson, Kara (Jeff) Parry, Kent Jackson, and Stacey (Dave) Holland, the worlds 14 best great-grandchildren; as well as her sisters, Maxine Owen, California, Karen Blakely, St. George, Chryl Markworth, Springville; and brother, Robert Shaw, California. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; four sisters, Venis Powell, Erma Staples, Phyllis Tucker, Marjorie Shaw; and brother Riley Shaw.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 6, 2009, at the St. George 2nd Ward Chapel, 166 South Main Street, St. George , Utah . Interment will take place in the St. George City Cemetery.
