---Clofford Francis Ebert, 97, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday morning (June 15, 2004) at Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville.
---Born April 22, 1907 in Brashear, Missouri, Clifford was the son of Oscar C. and Christina E. (Diarry) Ebert. On April 3, 1939, in Edina, Missouri, Clifford was united in marriage to Irene Cannon who survives.
---Clifford is also survied by one son and daughter-in-law, James Clifford and Lucille Ebert of Marionville, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, Virgil and Mabel Ebert of Keytesville, MO; two grandchildren, James Ebert and wife, Renee of Wiseman, AR and Robbie Ebert and wife Karen of Higbee, MO; two great-grandchildren, Camilla and Clayton and several nieces and nephews.
---His parents; two brothers, Granville and Sherman Ebert; two sisters, Mildred Caldwell and Edna Lake and one grandson, Steve Ebert, preceded Clifford in death.
---Mrs. Ebert was raised in Brashear where he received his education. He later resided north of LaPlata, Missouri, until 1968, where he was engaged in farming and worked as a meat cutter in the Student Union at Northeast Missouri State University until 1970. He then moved to Branson, Missouri where he lived two years before returning to Kirksville, Missouri, to make his home. After retirement, Clifford and Irene spent fifteen winters in the State of Texas.
---Clifford enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and blue grass music festivals.
---Clifford will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
---He was a member of the Assembly of God Church while residing in Fresno, California and had attended the Church of God in Kirksville for over twenty years.
---Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (June 19, 2004) with 1 hour of visitation held before service time, in the chapel of the Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville. The Reverend David Stron officiating. Music selections, "I'll Meet You In The Morning", "Going Down The Valley One Byu One," and "One Day At A Time" will be provided by Carolyn Turner, organist and Twila Jones, soloist. Interment will follow the service at Maple Hills Cemetery in Kirksville.
---Pallbearers will be Wendel Gerke, John Griswold, Cecil Lindberg, Eddie Flynn, Jery Black and Bob Rouse.
