4TH VICTIM IN TRAGIC AUTO AND TRAIN WRECK

The death here today of little David Shelton, 3, brought the total number of fatalities to four in the tragic train-automobile smash of Good Friday morning, Fred Shelton, 22, Mrs. Eleanor Shelton, 18, and Melvin Glen Shelton, aged one year, were killed instantly in the crash of automobile and train at the Spring Hill crossing, three miles west of Decatur.

The little boy died today at Benevolent Hospital at ten o'clock. There had never been a chance for his recovery.

Funeral services for the entire family were held this afternoon at Caddo, in Lawrence County, with Joe Yates, of Hartselle, conducting the sad services. Burial will be made at Caddo, Highsmith directing.

Some twenty-two pallbearers will carry the four caskets, which will be placed in individual graves.

The family is survived by Mr. and Mrs. Mart Shelton and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Thrasher, parents and grandparents of the Sheltons.
