Maude Abner, 83, widow of Robert Abner and a resident of Hoosier Christian Village at Brownstown, died at 7:30 am Tuesday. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at Medora. She moved to Indiana in 1934.
Born Nov 7, 1903 in Winchester KY., Mrs Abner was the daughter of Cyrus and Mary Agnes Riggs Miller. She married Robert Abner on Dec 28, 1919 in Lexington KY. He died Jan 24, 1977. Survivors include children Eugene Abner (Coconut Beach FL.), Donald Abner (Brownstown), Dennis Abner (Monticello), Phyllis Boling and Shirley Rawlins (both of Brownstown), Louise Napier (Ravenna KY) and Agnes Urbain (Medora); siblings Luther White (Dayton OH), Robert White (Lebanon) and James and Marshall White (both of Winchester KY), Pauline Hayes (FL), Nora Belle Webster (Lexington KY), Zula Witt (Winchester), Austina Ginter (Dayton OH) and Sarah Hampton (Lebanon); 19 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, three daughters, a brother, two sisters and one great-grandchild Interment in Fairview Cemetery
