"Jennie Athon, 79, of the Truman Medical Center East Long Term Care Facility, 7900 Lee's Summit Road, died Feb. 9, 1988, at Truman Medical Center East. She was born in Novinger, Mo., and lived in Kirksville, Mo., before moving to Kansas City in 1960. Mrs. Athon was a member of the Southside Baptist Church, Kirksville. Survivors include a son, Elver Athon of Mayview, Mo.; a brother, Jim Zeigler of Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Blanche Baskett of Kirksville and Mildred Graham of Macon, Mo.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
