Margaret Quilter, 61, Dies Early Today Following Brief Illness, Funeral Rites Wednesday.

Stricken with influenza about three weeks ago, which took a turn for the worse the past week, caused the death at 1:15 this morning of Miss Margaret Quilter, at the family home at 177 East Main street.
A daughter of the late Matthias and Mary Ann Quilter, she was born in Cannelton, Oct. 8, 1877, but came as a young girl to this city where she has since resided.
Her life was a shining example of service to others. Her death comes as a severe blow not only in her family group but to her large circle of friends.
Brothers and sisters surviving are: Mrs. I.M. Reed of Beaver, Frank Quilter of Louisville, Mrs. Julia Haley, Thomas and William Quilter all of this city.
Decedent was a devoted communicant of St. Mary's church and was a member of the L.C.B.A. Funeral services will take place Wednesday at 9 A.M. from St. Mary's church, the Rev. Fr. Joseph Heid, officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary's cemetery.
