"Soloman Lover"
"Soloman Lover, 73, died at his home on Indian Hill avenue last night after a long illness. He was born in Cashmere, Ontario, Canada, April 17, 1876, the son of the late Francis and Matilda Tilon Lamauraux. A resident of Portland for the last six years, he was a contractor but had not engaged in business lately because of ill health. Prior to coming to Portland, he had resided in Windsor for 63 years.
On April 7, 1905, he married Martha Hol[l]ister in the Congregational church in Windsor, Rev. M. Nelson performing the ceremony.
He leaves his wife, of Portland; a brother. Gulin Lamouraux of St. Charles of Ontario; a sister, Mrs. Matilda Boyd of Montreal, Canada; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Emmons funeral home, 231 Main street, Rev. Edward T. Clapp, pastor of the Congregational church, will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot in Center cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock. Friends have been asked to omit flowers."
