MRS. RUTH HOLLIDAY
Mrs. Ruth A. Holliday died at her home in Newbern, Iowa, Dec. 17th, 1909, aged 84 years, 11 months and 17 days. She was born in Butler county, Ohio and when 8 years old was left motherless, but was cared for by loving friends, grew to womanhood and became a Christian.
On March 22, 1842, she was married to James P. Holliday in Ohio, they living a long life together. She was left a widow last June when her dear companion was called to the better world. She has been an invalid since that time and passed way quietly and peacefully. She was a member of the Presbyterian church.
The funeral was held Sunday morning at 11 o'clock at the Cain church, conducted by Rev. Notherly, and the remains laid to rest in the nearby cemetery.
