NOTE REGARDING BURIAL:
As the Chairman of the Cemetery Committee of the Westmoreland County, VA History Documentation Committee, I can tell you there is no such cemetery as Cople Parish Cemetery in Westmoreland Co., VA.

It is not known where George Eskridge and his family are buried! He was most likely buried on his plantation at Sandy Point or possibly in the cemetery at Yeocomico Episcopal. But the Parish Records that would prove or disprove this fact were burned in a fire at the Rectory in 1914.

Because of the above stated facts, I believe you should change the place of burial to UNKNOWN. They way this memorial reads it leads people to believe that his burial site is known and if they look for this cemetery will not be able to find it.

We do not want to give people the wrong information.

Thank you for your time and attention in this matter.
Sincerely,
Dal Mallory #46586597
