Martha M. (Murphy) Byers, 84, of Williamsport, Ind., died at 9:23 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis.
She was born in Marshfield, Indiana to Ted and Ruth Hensley Murphy. On Nov. 11, 1943, she married Ralph Byers in Williamsport. He survives.
Also surviving are three children, Connie Gowen of Danville, Raymond Byers (wife: Carol) of West Lafayette, Indiana and Bonnie Myers (husband: Gary) of Williamsport; one sister, Peggy Hobson (husband: Fred) of West Lebanon; seven granddaughters and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Danny Murphy and one sister, Betty Hanover.
