It appears whoever had the gravestone made, used the wrong death date, which is actually Feb. 12, 1940.
Tessie Blanie Abney was the 4th child of 8 children and 4th daughter of 5 and also a twin to her sister Bessie. Of course, this might make them both the 4th children, I don't know which one came first.
Tessie was born to James Wilson Abney b.29 Jul 1877 in Cumberland Co., KY & d.15 Oct 1968 in Barren Co., KY, although Knob Lick, Metcalfe Co., KY was his normal residence, -and to- Ary Akin b.Sep 1883 in Cumberland Co., KY & d.bef 1955 in Knob Lick, Metcalfe Co., KY and who were married abt 1901 in Cumberland Co., KY.
Tessie married Finas Holland Shaw abt 1924 in Cumberland Co., KY. Finas was b.4 Oct 1904 in Cumberland Co., KY & d.18 Feb 1972 in Dubre, Cumberland Co., KY.
Tessie and Finas had 3 daughters who could still be living, therefore, I will only share their birth data with no names.
1. (Possible Living Female) b.3 Dec 1925 in Cumberland Co., KY.
2. (Possible Living Female) b.16 Mar 1931 in Cumberland Co., KY.
3. (Possible Living Female) b.abt 1935 in Cumberland Co., KY.
Unfortunately, it is very sad that almost everyone in Tessie's family had pulmonary tuberculosis during this period of time. Tessie died from it at the age of 31.
