When Robert Waid Lackey married Nancy B. Welch around 1836, her father gave them two young slaves, Tony and Mary. They brought the slaves with them when they came to Arkansas. Tony and Mary had four children, and the four children, Tony, and Mary are buried in the Galatia Cemetery. Their graves would be among the oldest graves in the cemetery.
Birth and death dates are not know, but it is assumed that Tony died prior to 1863.
