SALT LAKE CITY, UT., - Funeral services for Laura Braithwaite Evershed, 70, who died Friday, January 1, 1982, will be Tuesday at noon at the Belvedere Ward Chapel, 607 Downington Avenue. A son resides in Alpine.

She was born June 21, 1911, in Manti, Utah to George Riley and Mary Minnie Ahlstrom Braithwaite.

She married Orville Blaine Evershed March 28, 1934 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died December 17, 1972.

She was active in the LDS Church, serving in many positions on ward and stake levels. She was active in the PTA and graduated from Snow College.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter, Roger Blaine Evershed of Alpine; Mrs. Edward D. (Maxine) Eldredge and Richard Orville Evershed both of Salt Lake City; 16 grandchildren and one brother, Elliott Braithwaite of Manti, Utah.

Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday at the chapel one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
