Mrs. Ella King, resident of this city for many years, died at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital Saturday, July 17 and her funeral was held the following Monday afternoon at the Dean Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steward Reed officiating. Burial was in Little Prairie Cemetery.
She was born in Mississippi March 30, 1993 and was 88 years old. She was the widow of Jack King, who died around 20 years ago and who was a city policeman for a number of years.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Jim Jeffress of Caruthersville and Mrs. Donna Myers of Arcadia, Mo.; a son, Jesse Blaylock of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Etta Wade of Caruthersville and Mrs. Doshia Aldridge of Memphis; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
