The great grand-daughter of Jens & Stine Larsen relayed the story behind this baby's headstone. "Beside Jens and Stine's grave is a small stone that belonged to a baby. The parents of the baby decided to return to Denmark, and gave Jens & Stine their family plot on the condition that they would attend the baby's grave. My grandmother, then my mother, and now my sister and I always place flowers on the baby's grave each May when we go to decorate the other Larsen graves. We keep telling this story to our children and grandchildren and nephews in hopes that they too will keep up all the graves, including the baby."
