Marian moved to Cowley, Co. KS in 1872 with her parents. They settled on a pioneer farm between Oxford and Winfield, KS.

Married William H. Johnson of Winfield, Kansas at the Frazee House on 30 Apr 1882. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. E.P. Hickock.

After William's death, Marian moved to Bentley, Kansas where her only son, William "Bill", and her youngest daughter, Esther, lived.

When Marian died at the age of 83, she had out-lived, not only her husband, but some of her children also.
