Son of James Foster (b.1778 in Yorkshire, England; immigrated to America in 1782) & Elizabeth Wilson (b.1797 in England)
Siblings:
James (b.1817)
Spouse:
Married Mary Anna Allen, daughter of Martin Allen (b.1765) & Mary McComber (b.1769 in Ireland).
Children:
Wilson W.(1850-1890)
Mana/Mary E. (1856-1860)*
Marian Amy Foster (Johnson)(1862-1945)
*The 1860 US Census, New York, Mortality Schedule roll M3, line 16, indicates Mary died of croup - which she had for four days.
The family lived on a pioneer farm between Oxford and Winfield, Kansas. Family history/stories indicate that Thomas took Wilson and 3 other boys with him when he went to Colorado. His brother, James, was in Las Animas County; and, at some point in time, raised Jersey Red hogs.
The Trinidad City Directory shows that while he was in Colorado, Thomas ran a "taxi" service between Trinidad and the stage coach station, which was owned by a Foster (exact relationship unknown).

Gravesite Details
Thomas is buried on fensed-in private property, not accessable to the public, in Las Animas County, approximately 10-15 miles north of Trinidad. The property is believed by the family to be the old stage coach station; however, this is questionable.
