Aaron Hale was born in Boston, MA in 1754, and at the age of 21 he enlisted in the army, and was present at the battle of Bennington and Bunker Hill. His grandfather, Moses Hale, was in the latter battle with him. In the year of 1821 [sic; date given as circa 1815 in History of Livingston County, by James Smith, pg 57, and 329] he moved into the town of Conesus where he resided until his death, which occurred in the year of 1821 and was buried in the town of Springwater.
