STAMBAUGH TOWNSHIP-Louise G. Aho, 78, of 112 Mustapaa Road, died Jan. 10 at Maryhill Manor in Niagara, Wis.
She was born April 24, 1918 in Stambaugh, the daughter of the late John and Hulda (Erickson) Abrahamson. She attended the Stambaugh Township schools and graduated from the Stambaugh High School in 1936. In her younger years she worked for the N.Y.A. and as a housekeeper in local hotels. On Oct. 12, 1940 she married Andrew Puckett and the couple continued to make their home in Stambaugh Township. She enjoyed flower gardening and had been a frequent flower exhibitor at the Iron County Fair. She also enjoyed playing the guitar and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Grace Covenant Church in Stambaugh and had attended the former Pioneer Mission Church in Stambaugh Township. She was also a member of the 82nd Airborne Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Aldo, Gunnard, Clarence and Eric Abrahamson; four sisters, Edna, Myrtle Smedlund, Ethel Colberg and Esther Heisel; and three grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Lowell (Debbie) Puckett of Muskegon and Larry (Gail) Puckett of Iron River; four daughters, Annette (James) Puckett of Iron River, Barbara (Richard) Schneider of Niagara, Wis., Shelley (Steve) Baumann of Appleton, Wis. and Candy Mattioli of Little Chute, Wis.; a step daughter Phyllis (Robert) Smith of Frankfurt; 20 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews sister and brothers-in-law.
Visitation was held Jan. 13 at Langenberg Funeral Home in Iron River.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 11 a.m. at Grace Covenant Church in Stambaugh with the Rev. Robert Anderson, interim pastor, officiating.
Pallbearers were grandsons Tom and Chris Mattioli, Ben and Bret Bauman, and Mark, Larry and Kevin Puckett.
Organist Carolyn Lindahl accompanied vocalists Mark Lindahl and Ed Lindwall on musical selections "That's What Jesus Means To Me" and "Beyond the Sunset."
Burial will be made in Stambaugh Cemetery.
