Local Items From Sailes - On September 9th at 8:30 p.m., the nuptial ceremonies of Miss Annie James to Leonard Brinkley were celebrated at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.D. James, of Sailes, La. Rev. L.W. Martin, of Gibsland, officiating. After congratulations had been extended by the many friends who witnessed the impressive ceremony, all were ushered into the spacious dining room, where a delicious dinner was in readiness to be served. Miss Leah James contributed to the entertainment of the guest during the remainder of the evening with musical selections, which were much enjoyed. The bride is beloved of her friends for her happy, cheerful disposition and personal charm, which had made her popular with old and young.

Mr. Brinkley, formerly of Texas, is a young man possessing splendid business qualities and moral traits which have won him many friends during his stay in Louisiana. The friends of the happy couple wish them a long, happy and prosperous life, and that they will make their future home in Louisiana. Miss Leah James is preparing to leave for Louisiana College at Pineville, which opens on the 14th of Sept.
