MONTEBELLO, Aug. 6 - Mrs. A. Bell Painter, aged fifty-two years, died in Alexandria hospital on Saturday, July 31, at ten a.m. She had been in declining health for a number of years.

Surviving are her husband, O. D. Painter; three sons, Orby, Howard, and Herby Painter; two daughters, Mrs. Lottie Fitzgerald, and Miss Margaret Painter, all of Alexandria, and fourteen grandchildren. She also leaves her aged mother, Mrs. Mary Painter; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Campbell, and Mrs. Mattie Maddox; a brother, Garber Painter, all of Montebello.

Funeral services were conducted from Haines Chapel Methodist church on Monday, Aug. 2, at two p.m. by the Rev. D. B. Garber of the Brethren church at Waynesboro, of which she was a member for a number of years.

Pallbearers were Manley Campbell, Downey Painter, Homer Anderson, Willard Falls, Simon Ramsey, and Clay Farr. Flower-bearers were relatives of the deceased.

Burial was in South Mountain cemetery.
