Mrs. Griffith was born Christine A. Berger on March 31, 1915 at Halstad, the daughter of H.P. Berger and the former Catherine Gilligan.
She was a registered nurse and homemaker. She was a 1936 graduate of the Halstead Hospital School of Nursing. She married J.T. Griffith on October 10, 1939, in Halstead. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Millbrook Cahpter No. 108, Helios Federated Club, Board of Directors of Consolidated State Bank, Graham County Library Board and H.U.D. Board, all of Hill City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.T., on March 13, 1968; and a brother, Maurice Berger, on June 1, 2003.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Anne Trickle and husband Ken of Salina and Ruth Cebik and husband Ron of Southbury, CT; two sisters, Hazel Rupe of Alington, TX, and Jean Adrian of Hutchinson; and two grandchildren, Sarah Cebik of London, England, and Stephen Cebik of Boston.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Presbyterian Manor Chapel, Salina, the Rev. Ken Trickel officiating. Inurnment will be in the Hill City Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Presbyterian Manor Shaping the Future Fund of the Presbyterian Manor Good Samaritan Fund.
