LOPATCONG TWP. - Andrew Kirk died Nov. 4, 2004 at the Care Center of Lopatcong. He was 84.
He was born in Vestaberg, Pa., the son of Herbert and Anna Kirk . He lived in Milford before moving to Lopatcong in 1979.
He served in the Army Air Force from 1941 to 1945 and served in the Pacific Theatre.
Mr. Kirk was a paper maker and machine operator for Riegel Paper Corp. in Milford for 42 years before retiring in 1982.
He participated in the Heart Step program at the Phillipsburg Mall.
He was an avid fisherman, hunter and bowler. He also loved to work in the garden and play cards. He was a member of the Brakely Gardens Tenants Association.
He was a Presbyterian.
A son, Kevin Brower died in 1997 and four brothers and a sister also died earlier.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Alma Kisselbach Brower Kirk ; three sons, James Brower of Phillipsburg, Gene Brower of Easton and Harry "Bud" Brower of Denver; five daughters, Carol Heagy of LaPorte, Ind., Barbara Nichols of Easton, Karen Campbell of Overland Park, Kan. and Deborah McCoy and Susan Cuoco, both of Phillipsburg; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Tuesday at Rupell Funeral Home in Phillipsburg. Burial was in Milford Union Cemetery.
