James Boyce was the son of James Boyce, Sr. and Anna (last name unknown). James Boyce immigrated to the United States from Northern Ireland about 1867. He married in Woodstock on March 23, 1870 Mary Turkington, (daughter of Alexander Turkington & Mary Mairs/Myers). James and Mary were the parents of 8 children:
