Simon Birosik, who died Thursday afternoon of appendicitis at his home on Union street in Painters's addition, was 68 years of age and is survived by a wife and two daughters and three sons.
The funeral was held this morning, the services being conducted in the Slavish Catholic church and the interment made in the Slavish Catholic cemetery. The Slavish society to which the deceased belonged and the Illinois State band turned out in the funeral cortege.
