Alexander married Margaret Jane (King) Cox in Sullivan Co., Missouri, on April 30, 1880. He died in his home in Kansas City, on 1413 Madison Avenue, at the age of 79 years. He left a widow, Margaret Drew, and four sons, Elba Drew, 1413 Madison Avenue; Fred Drew, Tenth Street and Myrtle Avenue; William Drew, Seventeenth and Summit Streets, and Verdie Drew of Lawson, Missouri. Burial was in Excelsior Springs.
