Pearl Pierce was born at Ashland, Nebraska July 28, 1892, and died January 23, 1915 at 8 a.m., aged 22 years, 5 months and 25 days. Cause of Death was anemia, after an illness of about five weeks.

She was married April 6, 1911 to John H. South and to this union were born two children, Milton Marseilles South, born July 15, 1912 and Harry Otto South, born August 10, 1913, both of whom, with the husband are left to mourn her loss.

At the age of Fourteen she united with the Baptist church and retained her membership until the time of her death. She was at all times of a bright and cheerful disposition, devoting her time to her family and to the church.

The Funeral was held at the residence Sunday, January 24, at 2:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. Allen of the Baptist church and the remains were laid to rest in the Ashland cemetery.
