Miller-Heskett Family History updated by Virginia Delaney Pigeon 2001. Dale's primary career was as an educator. After teaching in rural schools near Lewistown MT he became the first male student to attend the College of Great Falls MT where he received his Bachelor's Degree. Later he earned a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Montana. Dale served as Superintendent of Highwood Schools and concluded his career teaching English at Simms High School, retiring in 1972.

Dale had other interest too. He loved the land, owning and working a small farm while living at Simms. Like his sister Lurene, he enjoyed very much playing the violin. he was an outdoors man, getting out to camp, fish and hunt as often as possible. Dale married Angeline P Adair on August 24, 1931 at her home just east of Suffolk MT. Angeline grew up and graduated from high school in Winifred MT. She attended Western Montana College in Dillon, MT and taught school for several years in Central Mt.

After Dale's death, Angeline married Joe C Brown on April 8, 1978 in Yuma AZ. Joe passed away in Yuma on July 15, 1987. Dale and Angeline had three children: Carol Lee, William Dale and Donald Paul.
