Jessie Lee Kester, daughter of the late Thomas Lee Cunningham and Inez Borders Cunningham, was born on July 16, 1929 at Malden and died in the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter on Sept.12, 2009 at the age of 80.
Mrs. Kester was a member of the Full Gospel Church, a home-maker and resident of Dexter, formerly of Bernie.
She was united in marriage to Rev. Arthur Charles Kester on Aug.16, 1947, at Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 1997.
She is survived by one son, Johnny Kester of Bernie; three daughters, Maria Teets, Judy Bryant and Donna Robinson, all of Dexter; daughter-in-law, Anita Kester of Bernie; two sisters, Tomazine Carlton of Carrollton and Dorothy Boyd of Springdale, Ark.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Dale Kester; one great-grandson, Logan Teets; and one sister, Aileen Snider.
Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept.15, 2009.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tim Russell and Rev. Mike Kohlbaker officiating.
Interment will follow in the Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley.
