George Montgomery is the son of Hugh Montgomery. His grandfather John Montgomery is the older brother of General Richard Montgomery who was the first General killed in the Revolutionary War on the Collonists' side. George was a Quaker and came from Duchess County, NY and was a Late Loyalist. He was married to Lucinda Herrington and both are buried here in this old Methodist Cemetery. (His brother Henry married Lucinda's sister Vestia) If anyone can find his tombstone and take a photo of it and place it here that would be wonderful.
