Campobello - Mrs. BERTHA McMAKIN BISHOP, 61, died unexpectedly at ___a.m. Wednesday at her home. A widow of JASON H. BISHOP, she was a daughter of the late JAMES E. and FANNIE LOUISE GRIFFIN McMAKIN. She was a member of the Campobello Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. MARGUERITE TAYLOR of Spartanburg and Miss IMOGENE BISHOP of Asheville, NC: two sons, PAUL BISHOP of Duncan and JOHN T. BISHOP of Greer; two step-daughters, Mrs. HELEN BURRELL and Mrs. ANNIE MAE HENRY, of Greer; four step-sons, CLARENCE BISHOP of Asheville, FRED BISHOP of Spartanburg, HARVEY BISHOP of Campobello an JOE BISHOP of Greer; two sisters, Mrs. A. L. GILBERT of Inman Route 3, Mrs. PERRY McMILLAN of Landrum Route 2; two brothers, B. W. McMAKIN of Campobello Route 2 and C. J. McMAKIN of Spartanburg Route 1. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 3 p.m. at the Campobello Methodist Church by the Revs. JERRY COOK, J. G. STROUD and RAY BATSON. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be W. J., FRANK, LEROY and CARL McMAKIN, Jr., EDWARD BURNS and CARL GILBERT. Adult Ladies Sunday School Class of the church will form the honorary escory. The body will be at the home after 9 a.m. Friday and will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Petty Funeral Home of Landrum is in charce of arrangements.
