Sissy was well-known for her sweet, kind, and loving ways. She was an old fashioned Southern Belle. She had been a charter member of Entre Nous, member of Beta Sigma Phi, held several offices in the Elks Auxiliary, wrote scripts for carnival balls, emceed carnival balls, and designed and made costumes for carnival. She was a former Queen of the Elks Carnival Ball. She was also a Sunday School teacher at St. John's Episcopal, where she was an active member since 1953.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Waverly and Marie Shepherd Jones; her husband, Ty Albin; her brother, Arthur "Red" Shepherd; son-in-law, Bobby Baria; great-grandson, Darden Baria; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Scheffler and Arwilda Shepherd.
She is survived by one son and two daughters, Dr. M. J. "Buck" Albin (Edith); Marilyn "Mickie" Baria; Marie de Tiege (Rudy); grandchildren, David Baria (Marcie), Barry Baria, Melissa DiFatta (Tony), Mollie Albin Biseinere (Mike), Allison Soine (Andrew), Anna de Tiege and Tyler de Tiege; great grandchildren, Rhian, Crew, Merritt, Bess, and Preston Baria; Tess and Grace Soine; Ian and Cooper Biseinere; brother-in-law, Ivan Scheffler and many well loved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007, 5:00-7:00pm at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home Pascagoula, MS.
Funeral Service will be Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, 11:00 am at St. John's Episcopal Church in Pascagoula with Rev. Dennis Ryan officiating. Friends may visit with the family in the church parish hall from 10-11am.
Interment will follow at Jackson County Memorial Park, Pascagoula.
