Samuel H. Ballentine, Birmingham, died in Washington, D.C. yesterday while visiting his sister, Mrs. J.L. Green there. He was 62.
He is survived by his stepmother, Mrs. E.S. Ballentine Sr, Courtland; one son, William H. Ballentine of Montgomery;
one brother, Edgar S. Ballentine of Courtland; three sisters, Mrs. Green, Miss Eleanor Ballentine of Atlanta, Miss Ann Ballentine of Courtland and several grandchildren.
Body will arrive in Decatur Friday morning at 2:25 a.m. and will be taken to the Methodist Church in Courtland by 9 a.m. where it will lie in state until 10. Services will be held at that time by Dr. Thomas A. Edgar of Birmingham. Burial will follow in the Courtland Cemetery, Brown of Decatur directing.
